The first book we had to read was Matthew...we where split into groups and red together.
One chapter per person and reading it out loud.
Reading out loud can make u understand certain things better but i also like to read by myself.
Its good to read it in groups and the fact that we have to finish the book in one week.
If i had to do it on my own i would probebly stopped at chapter 5 or something.
Something that was difficult for me to understand was that Jesus somethimes said after doing a miracle ; dont tell anyone.
And He also told the disciples that they could not say that He was Jesus, The Christ.
I learned that Matthew wrote it for the Jews.
There's a lot of talking about the Kingdom of God.
I loved it how he wrote about so many prophesies from The Old Testament being fulfilled in Jesus.
Matthew 2:18, 2:23, 3:3b 4: 14-16, 8:17 and so many more.
I loved reading about Jesus and how He was .
Looking at Him in a different way than i always did.
It was interesting to read that demons knew Him.
That He did so much miracles.
He had such an important work to do but yet He wanted the children to come to Him.
I liked reading about the disciples, how they had there questians and where like you and me but Jesus wanted them and they became the first missionaris .
Whats also helps when reading The Gospels is to look on You Tube for the Matthew Bible Book.
I helps when u read the whole book in one week cuz than ur still in it , u dont forget certain things and
u learn so much more.
Did u know Jesus did 2 miracles where He fed a lot of people?
So many of His teaching is still acurate this day.
We can still apply it ...
I definitely going to read it again and again and again ;)
